1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you") and LexIQ QUIZ ("we", "us", "our") governing your access to and use of the LexIQ QUIZ platform, including all quizzes, flashcards, live quiz features, leaderboards, and any other services offered on lexiqquiz.tech or its subdomains ("Service").

By creating an account, signing in with Google, or otherwise using our Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

2. Description of Service

LexIQ QUIZ is an educational platform designed for Law Exams aspirants, law students, and legal professionals. Our Service includes:

• Quiz Module: Multiple-choice questions based on Indian Bare Acts, across Easy, Medium, and Hard difficulty levels.
• Flashcard Module: Digital flashcards for quick revision of key legal concepts, principles, and case laws.
• Live Quiz Rooms: Real-time competitive quiz sessions hosted by users, accessible via unique room codes.
• Leaderboard: Global and act-wise rankings based on quiz performance.
• Progress Dashboard: Personalized tracking of quiz history, accuracy, and learning streaks.

LexIQ QUIZ is an educational tool. Content on LexIQ QUIZ does not constitute legal advice and should not be relied upon for any legal, professional, or academic decision. Always consult a qualified legal professional for specific legal matters.

3. Eligibility & Account

3.1 Age Requirement

You must be at least 13 years of age to use LexIQ QUIZ. If you are under 18, you represent that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

3.2 Google Sign-In

LexIQ QUIZ uses Google Identity Services for authentication. You must have a valid Google account to register. By signing in with Google, you also agree to Google's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. LexIQ QUIZ receives only your name, email address, and profile picture from Google — we do not receive your Google password.

3.3 Account Responsibility

You are responsible for all activity that occurs through your account. You agree not to share your account with others, impersonate any person, or use another person's account without their permission.

3.4 One Account Per Person

Each person may maintain only one active LexIQ QUIZ account. Creating multiple accounts to gain leaderboard advantages or circumvent restrictions is prohibited.

4. User Conduct & Prohibited Activities

You agree to use LexIQ QUIZ only for lawful, educational purposes. You must not:

• Use automated tools, bots, scripts, or any software to artificially inflate quiz scores, leaderboard rankings, or streak counts.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract question content from LexIQ QUIZ for commercial use or republication.
• Disrupt, interfere with, or compromise the integrity of Live Quiz Rooms or other users' sessions.
• Use LexIQ QUIZ to harass, abuse, or harm other users.
• Upload, transmit, or share any content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, or infringes any third party's intellectual property rights.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to LexIQ QUIZ's backend systems, databases, or other users' data.
• Exploit any bug or vulnerability in the platform without responsibly disclosing it to us.

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently ban any account found violating these conditions, without prior notice.

5. Content & Intellectual Property

5.1 Our Content

All quiz questions, flashcards, explanations, platform design, code, logos, and branding on LexIQ QUIZ are the intellectual property of LexIQ QUIZ or its licensors and are protected under applicable copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without our express written permission.

5.2 Bare Acts & Legal Texts

Questions on LexIQ QUIZ are based on Indian legislation (Bare Acts). The underlying statutory text of Indian laws is in the public domain. However, our curated questions, answer choices, explanations, and pedagogical framing are original works owned by LexIQ QUIZ.

5.3 Feedback

If you submit feedback, suggestions, or bug reports to LexIQ QUIZ, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free licence to use such feedback to improve our Service, without any obligation to compensate you.

6. Data, Privacy & Account Deletion

Your use of LexIQ QUIZ is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

6.1 What We Store

We store your Google profile information (name, email, profile picture), quiz history, scores, flashcard progress, leaderboard data, and streak information in our secure database (Supabase, hosted on AWS).

6.2 Account Deletion

You may permanently delete your LexIQ QUIZ account at any time from your Profile page. Deletion will permanently erase all your quiz history, scores, leaderboard entries, streaks, and profile data from our servers. This action is irreversible. We may retain anonymized aggregate data (not linked to your identity) for research purposes.

6.3 Data Retention

If you do not delete your account, we retain your data for as long as your account remains active or as required by law. We may purge inactive accounts (no login for 24 months) after providing prior notice to your registered email.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

LexIQ QUIZ is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of content, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses.
• Quiz content is exhaustive, up-to-date, or suitable for any specific examination.
• Using LexIQ QUIZ will guarantee success in Law Exams or any other law entrance examination.

LexIQ QUIZ content is intended to supplement, not replace, formal legal education and examination preparation materials.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, LexIQ QUIZ, its founders, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service, including but not limited to:

• Loss of data or progress due to technical failure.
• Reliance on quiz content for any examination, legal proceeding, or professional purpose.
• Unauthorised access to your account due to your own negligence.
• Temporary unavailability of the platform for maintenance or upgrades.

In no event shall LexIQ QUIZ's total liability to you exceed ₹500 (Indian Rupees Five Hundred) or the amount you paid us in the last 12 months, whichever is greater.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to LexIQ QUIZ at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms, is harmful to other users, or is otherwise unlawful.

You may terminate your account at any time by using the "Delete My Account" feature in your Profile. Upon termination, your right to use the Service immediately ceases.

Sections 5 (Intellectual Property), 7 (Disclaimer), 8 (Limitation of Liability), and 10 (Governing Law) shall survive termination.

10. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or your use of LexIQ QUIZ shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved within 30 days, the dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Pune, Maharashtra, India.

For consumer disputes, you may also approach the applicable Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and may notify you via email or an in-app notice.

Your continued use of LexIQ QUIZ after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
